02. Complete Your Player Profile

首页Help GuidesHow-To's

The first thing you should do after account registration is to complete your player profile.

Page PlayMy Player Profile includes all player information that you can edit. The settings of each tab are explained below:

Player Profile

Name

This is your website username.

Active

You will not see this option in your player profile at the moment, because the ability for players to change their activity status is currently turned off. Once you have all your game IDs entered in the Games tab, you will become active.

Only after you become active can you join teams or play matches.

Status Point

The status point of a player/team upon creation is 3. Some events are only open to competitors that has a certain amount of status point. Competitors can raise their status point by playing in ladders. For example, accepting 20 challenges in a ladder will make your status point go up by 1 point.

Country

Select your country. This will display a flag against your name wherever your name is mentioned elsewhere (team rosters, match results etc.).

Looking for Team

If you're looking for a team, set this to Yes. Team leaders can search for players available for recruitment from the Players page.

Recruitment Message

If you're available for recruitment, fill some details about yourself and why you'd make a good recruit.

Xfire ID

If you have an Xfire account and want to make friends with other players, you can put it here. This field is NOT required.

Steam Account

If you have a Steam account and want to make friends with other players, you can put it here. This field is NOT required.

Teams

This tab is used to create, join and administer teams. Please refer to relevant guides.

Games

Here you can manage the games you play in ESPC.

Before you can be selected to play in any matches you need to define which games you play.

If you want to play a team game, you have to join a team and the team must also add the same game in the team profile.

Adding a game is pretty simple. Just click the "Add Game" link to begin the process.

Then fill in the form that appears (which may be slightly different for different games).

Accept Challenges

You set this option based on whether you want to use ESPC's PCW system. It's worth noting that the challenge here only means 1-v-1 competition. Unlike the challenges in ladders, the challenge here is essentially a 1-v-1 scrim or PUG, for practice purpose only.

Whether you accept or reject such a challenge or how its outcome is will not affect your rating in any participated ladders. If you choose to accept challenges, other players will be able to see you and challenge you in the PCW system.

UAC3 ID*

Majority of the matches in ESPC require players to use anti-cheat software UAC3. This field is where you enter your UAC3 ID. For the tutorial on how to use UAC3, please click here.

PBGUID*

If the game you are about to add has anti-cehat software Punkbuster built in, you should provide your PBGUID here. Please click here to view the guide on how to get your PBGUID.

Steam ID*

For games that are distributed on Steam, you should provide your Steam ID. Click here to see how to get your Steam ID.

GUID*

Some games require players to provide Global Unique ID (GUID). Different games may have different ways of finding GUID. Please visit FAQ Section to learn how to find your GUID for a specific game.

*Note: The 4 kinds of ID listed above are only some typical game ID's you are likely to provide. Different games might require you to provide different game IDs. But no matter what game IDs you need to provide, only after you fill in all required game IDs correctly will your player status become "active" (Only active players can join teams or play matches.). And every change of your game IDs will be logged.

Game IDs will be used to check your identity before matches and track your cheating status.

Config

You can upload a config file (as a .zip or .rar package).

Screenshot

You can upload a screenshot showing what your config looks like.

Notes

You can enter some brief notes about why your config is the best out there.

After clicking the Add Game button, you will be brought back to the Games tab.

This page now display a list of the games you have added.

If you chose to accept challenges of a game, from here you are able to change the settings related to challenges. Once again, the challenges here refer to 1-v-1 PCW between players, not PCW between teams.

In the Friendly Challenge column, you are able to send challenges to other players that also accept challenges. You can also set the period(s) of time when you are available for PCWs and add some notes in the Available for PCW column.

You can have multiple games and create multiple periods of time for each game. Other players will be able to find your PCW information in the PCW page.

Servers

You can add servers for the games you have, which can only be match servers. You can start the process by clicking the "Add Server" button.

Then select the game that your server runs and fill in its IP and port and the number of slots it has. Click the "Add" button when you are finished. Servers will be used to arrange matches in ladders, leagues and PCWs.

Competitions

This tab will show pending matches that you or your team is going to play. And you can set your availability for each upcoming match.

Open Bets

Our league system features a virtual betting system. Every player will receive $100 starting fund after registration. You can use it to bet on any match in ESPC as long as it hasn't started. You can do it in the betting section at the bottom of match details pages.

After completing your player profile, it's time to join a team or create your own team. For a guide on how to join a team, please click here. Click here to see how to create your own team.
