首页Competition CenterCompetition RulesEvent Specific Rules

Foreword

Unless otherwise stated, all teams should first make sure they abide by the Global Rules of the ESPC Competition Center.

The rules listed below are for trial implementation only, during which the ESPC management reserves the rights to add, delete and/or modify them without notifying participating teams and players.

These rules are set to explain the basic conduct teams are expected to adhere to and also the action that will be taken by the admins if evidence comes to light of these rules being breached by a player or team. All team leaders are expected to be familiar with the rules and there is no excuse for not knowing the rules. All team leaders are expected to ensure that their players adhere to these rules. If a player breaks any of the rules, action will be taken against both the player and the team leader.

I. Team Requirements

1. Teams must have at least 5 players on their roster.

2. The maximum amount of active players per team is 7 players. The 2 spare players will substitute official players to play matches that they are not able to play.

3. Every player must enter their Steam ID and UAC ID in their ESPC profiles. That is all players should be "active". Here explains how you can get your Steam ID. For the tutorial on how to use UAC, please click here. If one or more players in a team are inactive, the affected match will be forfeited.

4. Teams using players that have been banned by ESPC or that aren't listed in the team's roster will be banned from playing remaining matches.

III. Season Setup

1. The season has 16 slots but may be extended. Sign-up stage is from 12:00 am, Sept. 21st to 12:00 am, Oct. 21st. During this period, teams can sign up in the competition center of ESPC. The season kicks off on Oct. 21st.

2. The season is comprised of a qualifier stage and a playoff stage. In the qualifier, 16 teams will be put into A and B groups. Each team has 8 teams. The format used in the qualifier will be double round-robin.

There will be 14 rounds in each group. Each round consists of 4 matches, which will be played every night. Winner of a match will receive 3 points. Loser gets no points. And in the circumstances of a draw, both teams will receive 1 point.

After the qualifier ends, 4 top teams from each group will enter the playoff. If 2 teams have the same points after the qualifier ends, the team that has more total winning rounds will be placed above the other team. If 2 teams have the same points and the same total winning rounds, the team with less losing rounds will be placed above the other one.

3. In the qualifier stage, the match format is VETO BO1 (Best of 1). Maxrounds is 15 (Best of 30, draws are allowed). Map selection procedure is as follows:

  • The losing team of the 1st knife round drops a map from the map pool. Then the winning team drops another.
  • The losing team of the 2nd knife round drops a map from the remaining 5 maps. Then the winning team drops another.
  • The remaining map will be played for the match.

4. In the playoff stage, BO3 knockout will be used. Maxrounds is 15 (Best of 30, draws are NOT allowed). Map selection procedure is as follows:

  • The winning team of the 1st knife round drops a map from the map pool. Then the losing team drops another.
  • The winning team of the 2nd knife round chooses a map from the remaining 3 maps as the first map to be played. Then the losing team chooses one from the remaining 2 as the second map.
  • The last map will be the third map to be played.

IV. Match Rules

1. Players from both teams should enter the specified match server 15 minutes before the start time of the match.

2. Before the match starts, a knife round will be played to decide who has the right to choose which side to play in the first half (The winning team chooses to be CT or T).

3. The start money of both sides at the beginning of each half is $800. After the 1st half ends, teams switch sides and play the 2nd half. The first team to win 16 rounds wins the match.

4. Draws are not allowed in the playoff. If the score is 15-15, a MR3 (Best-of-6) overtime should be played.
In the 1st half of the overtime, teams play the same sides as they play in the 2nd half of the full-time and switch sides in the 2nd half of the overtime. The start money at the beginning of each half during the overtime is $10,000. If the overtime is a tie again, another overtime will be played, until there is a winner.
In the 1st half of the second overtime, teams play the same sides as they play in the 2nd half of the first overtime. The rest can be done in the same manner.

5. After the match ends, league admins or referees will enter the result within 24 hours. Once the result is entered, the match is deemed over. The competition system will automatically generate the next match according to the entered result.

6. If a team is suspicious of the game play of any players from the opposing team, they can raise a dispute to request his/their POV demos within 3 hours after the match ends.

V. Match Media and Disputes

record demoname

The format of the demo name should be:

matchid_username_teamname_mapname

e.g: 123456_Jermin_XfireX_dust2.dem

2. Knife rounds should also be recorded. If the match enters overtime, it should also be included in the demo.

3. Demos should be kept for at least 14 days after the match ends. If the opposing team raise a dispute, they have the rights to request any one from your team to upload his POV demos onto the website for (all other players') review.

4. In general not working or manipulated demos will be treated as missing demos. Teams that fail to submit a demo will be charged with a loss by forfeit.

5. League admins has the final say on disputes. The dispute result is the final match result, which cannot be changed again.

6. If a player Drops during the match, he/she can rejoin at any time and must come straight into the game, the player is not allowed to spectate. After respawn, he/she should start recording POV demo immediately and take a screenshot of the scoreboard. If the opposing team requests, he/she must upload the match media recorded after rejoining the server together with the one recorded before he/she drops.

Screenshot

The referee should take a rcon status screenshot at the beginning of the match and if a player reconnects. The screenshot should have the status information of all the players in the server. To take a rcon status screenshot, first type rcon status in the console and hit enter. Then type jpeg and hit enter again. The taken screenshot will be saved to directory /csgo/screenshots.

Dispute

1. In order to officially request a demo you must first dispute the match. This can be done by directly contacting a league admin. Following this you can then proceed to request up to 3 demos by stating the players name in the match comment section. Demo requests made in-game will be ignored. Once the requested demos have been uploaded you will be required to timestamp the demo in order for it to be reviewed. This is a log of the accused player listing specific rounds and times. All demos will be reviewed by ESPC's anti-cheat crew.

2. Teams must request a demo by writing the ESPC nickname of the required player(s) in the dispute chat, not in-game . If a player has a different nickname in-game, you may correspond their Steam ID to their ESPC Game ID.

3. All matches played need to be recorded and demos should be kept until 48 hours after the date listed on the match details. Should a dispute be opened, demos should be kept until 48 hours after the dispute is solved. Failing to follow these rules will lead to a direct forfeit loss for the team.

4. If a demo is missing more than 3 rounds then a default win will be awarded to the opposing team.

5. Opponents have the right to request three (3) demos from their opponents if they suspect foul play. All matches played are public games and therefore demos must be made available to the public.

6. The following rules apply to disputes:

- Players have 24 hours to upload their demo from the request date. Failure to upload the demo within the time will result in the match being forfeited.
- Once the requested demo(s) have been uploaded, teams/players will have a further 24 hours to provide timestamps. Failure to provide timestamps within the time will result in the match dispute being closed and the match having ended.
